Pathology Laboratory Associates (PLA)Since its inception, RML and PLA have remained dedicated to providing rapid, reliable and economical laboratory testing services. RML and PLA have developed and grown together as a comprehensive laboratory solution for hospitals, local physicians and patients. The integration of PLA and RML combines a highly skilled pathology group with a high quality clinical regional reference laboratory.

PLA is responsible for laboratory management of RML and adds expertise in laboratory planning and design, management and marketing functions. PLA and RML are deeply involved in laboratory informatics and in the development of laboratory management and utilization software applications.  Pathology Laboratory Associates (PLA) offers anatomic pathology services include surgical pathology, cytology, bone marrow studies, and fine needle aspiration biopsy. RML also offers flow cytometry, DNA analysis, immunophenotyping, and immunohistochemistry to support our molecular pathology services.

Although you may not have met our pathologists, your physician has requested our assistance in the correct diagnosis and optimal management of your condition. Pathology Laboratory Associates (PLA) consists of board certified pathologists as well as one clinical immunologist. Several of our pathologist are nationally recognized as experts in their specialty and many are on the clinical faculty at the University of Oklahoma.

We are one of only 20 pathology groups in the U.S. that provides 100% review of all diagnoses, which means that at least two pathologists see every case. This process ensures your complete confidence in our findings. We understand that when it comes to your health you want information you can trust.

At PLA, we partner with your doctor in making sure you get the best treatment possible. As physicians, we are on call 24hrs a day, 365 days a year. When you are sick, you need your doctor. If your doctor needs us, we are available.

What does a Pathologist do?

A pathologist is a physician with a specialty training in tissue diagnosis and laboratory medicine. If you have tissues or fluids removed during a hospital visit, a pathologist will examine your specimen and provide a diagnosis to your physician.
