Pathology Services
Since its inception, RML and PLA have remained dedicated to providing rapid, reliable and economical laboratory testing services established in 1980, with pathologists based in Tulsa, Bartlesville and Ponca City, Oklahoma and Pittsburg, Kansas. This skilled team of pathologists provides general and subspecialty pathology professional services to RML in all locations.
Our Pathology team consists of 22 board certified pathologists and one Ph.D. immunologist on its staff. Our pathologists possess in-depth subspecialty expertise with subspecialty board certification in dermatopathology, hematopathology, clinical chemistry, medical immunology and medical microbiology. We also have subspecialty expertise in breast pathology, kidney pathology, and gastrointestinal pathology.
The highest standard of quality is maintained through a vigorous quality assurance program including certification by the College of American Pathologists, the Oklahoma State Department of Health, the United States Department of Health and Human Services, and registration with the Food and Drug Administration. PLA provides pathology on call service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year so your physicians can phone consult at any time with our professional team of Pathologists. Every pathology report is re-read by a second pathologist at no charge. We are one of only 20 such groups in the nation employing this practice.
