Courier Service

Our courteous and professional staff may be scheduled by a customer service representative for specimen pickup and supply delivery directly to your office during your hours of operation in most areas.

Scheduled Courier Pickups & Deliveries

At the onset of service with Regional Medical Laboratory, a client will be scheduled to a courier route. If the client is scheduled to a courier route, the courier will routinely pickup specimens and deliver reports. A client may choose to have a courier everyday or only on selected days. The client may also choose to have more than one pickup or delivery per day if scheduling permits.

Unscheduled Specimen Pickups

On-call pickups, STAT pickups, and pickups outside the hours of 7:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday are considered unscheduled pickups. Clients should notify RML (918) 744-2500 or (800) 722-8077 of an unscheduled pickup as soon as possible to avoid any delays that might result in a pickup not being made before their closing. It is suggested that clients outside the Metro-Tulsa area notify Regional Medical Laboratory of any unscheduled pickups by 10:00am the day of the request, and that Metro-Tulsa clients notify RML by 2:00pm whenever possible. This is to assure same-day pickup, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Tulsa Metro Area

RML will handle unscheduled Metro area pickups Monday through Friday 7:00am to 10:00pm; Saturdays 10:00am to 3:00pm and holidays 12:00pm to 4:00pm. If an RML courier is available to make an unscheduled stop, RML will notify him/her of the pickup to be made. If the pickup cannot be made without compromising the timing of a courier's routinely scheduled route, then a third-party courier service will be called to accomplish the task.

Outside of The Tulsa Metro Area

For clients outside of the area served by commercial courier services there is an extremely limited capability to manage unscheduled pickups. There may be times when a pickup cannot be accommodated as requested, especially evening and night hours, weekends, and holidays. Tiger Transit in Bartlesville will be available for unscheduled pickups in Bartlesville, Vinita, Nowata and Kansas (Caney and Sedan) 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including holidays.

Deliveries of specimens or supplies are assigned to regular courier routes when possible. A third-party courier service will be called when the stop cannot be made without compromising a courier's routinely scheduled route in the Tulsa Metro area. A customer service representative will arrange for such deliveries Monday through Friday 7:00am to 11:00pm. A third-party courier service will be called by RML for pickups in the Tulsa Metro area during weekends, holidays, and between the hours of 11:00pm to 7:00am. Bartlesville RML will call Tiger Transit for any unscheduled deliveries that cannot be accommodated on routine courier routes.
