Lead Specimen Collection

The Oklahoma State Department of Health has been involvedwith a blood lead-screening program to identify the extent of lead poisoning in Oklahoma. To further assess the scope of the problem, the Oklahoma State Department of Health has implemented a surveillance program. RML’s role in this program is to now report all blood lead test results on Oklahoma children 6 years of age and younger. The state has also requested that demographic and geographic data be submitted for normal lead results (Less than 10mcg/dL). To meet these requirements, clients can use the following form when submitting a specimen for a lead test.
